color board–red
Red is the warmest of all colors. Red is the color most chosen by extroverts and one of the top picks of males. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Brides wear red and front doors are often painted red. Red roses symbolize passionate love. Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand – you know, we all have those. Red is the color of Mars. This planet is known as the God of War… not like you ever need to use that in life :)

color board–yellow
When we think of yellow, we don’t always think of fall. We tend to think of spring and summer. Yet, yellow is there for fall! Yellow becomes more of an accent color during the fall season since red, brown, and orange are stronger and more demanding colors. But we just can’t do without it! So what about taking yellow into the spotlight for fall designs?

what we’re up to–anniversary terrarium
We were able to serve a special client two weeks ago who had his 25th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something way sweet for his wife. He didn’t want something really common (we really don’t do common here) so he was in the right spot. He said he liked plants and thought a terrarium would be cool. So this is what we came up with-
We placed two love birds in the bottom to symbolize their marriage. They were a perfect personal touch.
The terrarium was tied with a gorgeous celery green ribbon and a silver key. Silver is the traditional gift for 25 years of marriage so that was our twist on that tradition.
This terrarium was about 2.5 feet tall! It was stunning and one of our favorite designs we have done for an anniversary. From what we know, his wife was thrilled with it and it sits on her desk at work. Happy 25th Anniversary T&P!

arrangements–bounty of the harvest
We so love this time of year. It allows for the most gorgeous colors and the materials you can use to design arrangements are endless – they are during any season, but there is something to say about the type of materials that you can use:
- leaves
- wheat
- branches
- pumpkins, gourds, and squash
- apples and pears
- baskets
- seed pods
- nuts and acorns
The harvest materials--- that’s what they are!

flora in fashion–sweater season
It’s getting to be sweater season where we are. This sweater sure popped out to us with it’s great vibrant colors and soft background. A great transition piece!

What we love:
- the abstract of the graphic – we knew it was a carnation from the petals of the stem - only a florist :)
- the great red and coral that could be paired with anything – we would love it with a gray pencil skirt, plum tights, top knot, black oxford pumps, and cute framed glasses
