color board–red

Red is the warmest of all colors. Red is the color most chosen by extroverts and one of the top picks of males. In China, red is the color of prosperity and joy. Brides wear red and front doors are often painted red. Red roses symbolize passionate love. Ruby rings should be worn on the left hand  – you know, we all have those. Red is the color of Mars. This planet is known as the God of War… not like you ever need to use that in life :)

Red can be used to add drama to any event and design. Since red is the most dominating color it adds focal points in designs. But if you want red to just be an accent color, use it in small quantities and visa versa.

These are some designs that have come out of our studio.

Red is such a great color to use in the fall and winter. There is just something about the red against the white of snow that is so formal. Just the idea of life and movement within the stillness of winter.

Red goes with any other color and makes it a great option to add to any design. There are tons of flowers that come in reds too! Roses, gerberas, callas, ranunculus, dahlias, tulips, hypericum, mums of all sorts, carns and orchids are just a few options.
